Mavs Go for the Equalizer

BASKETBALL: NBA Playoffs (United States)
It could have been 3-0, or at least 3-2, in favor of the Dallas Mavericks; now, the Western Champs are down 2-3 against the Miami Heat in the Finals of the 2006 NBA Playoffs. The Mavs experienced a 98-74 trashing by the Heat in Game 4 Friday morning (Manila time) and then suffered another painful loss via a 100-101 overtime defeat Monday morning (Manila time) in Game 5. The Miami Heat became only the second team to sweep all the three middle games of the 2-3-2 Finals format (the Detroit Pistons was the first in 2004, eventually winning the crown, against the Los Angeles Lakers).

Game 6 (today at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas) will be both an easy task and a tough challenge for the Mavericks because they will play on their own court in front of their fellow Texans donning a 2-3 deficit - a single defeat will cause them to lose the trophy.

It takes four to win the championship ring. A win in Game 6 will be an equalizer. A win in Game 6 means JUST ONE LAST FOR DALLAS!!!
