TENNIS: Wimbledon Championships (England)
Philippines' sole delegate to the 2006 Wimbledon Open with his partner faltered and is now out of the contest. Cecil Mamiit of the Philippines and Kevin Kim of USA lost to Thailand's Sanchai Ratiwatana and Sonchat Ratiwatana in the first round of Gentlemen's Doubles category - 4-6, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (5), 8-6. The epic game was held at the All England Club in London. The Thais are the same players who defeated Mamiit and Eric Taino in the Men's Doubles finals of the 2005 SEA Games.
