Happy

Happy Ending

As I bid farewell to my very comfortable and enjoyable workplace (I'll definitely miss Logan, my ever reliable computer) in the UP Digital Signal Processing Laboratory (the best research lab in UP EEE), me and my labmates held our sem-ender last Saturday 28 October 2006 - a simple and short event yet a sweet and solemn one. Well, the "solemn" part is subjective.

Mam Gev, Sir Franz, Sir Jor-el, Mam Tess (from neighboring IML/Microlab) and Mam Dae plus Amiel, Danes, Fed, Geof, Ivy, Leo, Lyand, Mark, Micael, Pau, Tiyaw and I were all present during our Bowling/Billiards "tournament" at Xybrbowl Katipunan Ave./Aurora Blvd. Our dinner was also mouth-watering and came in an almost unlimited supply (spaghetti in white sauce, chicken barbecue and java rice with bottomless iced tea, fruit salad and cakes from Red Ribbon). Here are some of the moments stolen by Pau's digicam.

After the event, I, Danes, Ivy, Leo and Mark decided to spend the night at Amiel's house where we had a movie marathon and, as usual, food trip. We were able to watch Click, Just My Luck, Just Friends, Curious George, Scary Movie 4, Cassanova and Over the Hedge - seven movies straight!!!

Happy Birthday

Happy 22nd birthday to Liz (Oct20), Winston (Oct29), JFel (Oct30) and Emil (Oct31) and happy 23rd birthday to Almond (Oct31). Painom naman diyan!!! Haha.

Happy Halloween

High Blood

Last Tuesday, my blood pressure reached 150/100. Until now, I still feel chest pains and experience uneasy breathing.

Looks like McDiet and McExercise are already summoning me.

Arrovo

I declare this day my lucky day. I went to Phillipine National Bank UP Campus Branch and withdrew PhP400.00. Just like what I always do whenever I need money and ask McATM for back-up, I checked the 4 100-peso bills and to my surprise - this time, all are Arrovo bills! Arrovo bills are limited edition paper notes which were accidentally printed with the wrong spelling of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's name (obviously, the "y" was replaced by "v").

I immediately told my pakner Ivy, who was with me that time, regarding my "fortune" and she requested me to withdraw some more for her. All in all, I now have 8 Arrovo bills plus 5 more which Ivy bought from me. I heard that each can cost up to PhP1000.00 when sold to money collectors and museum/antique houses. I gave Ivy a friendly rate.

For those who are interested, and if you think you are my friend, tell me and I can bargain the other 7 (I want to keep at least 1).

Barkadahan 2

As promised, these are our "photographs and memories" last night (courtesy of Dyan). Haha.

Take note that these are just six of about twenty pictures Dyan and Elma took from their camera phones during our dinner and coffee talk. I posted only the pictures where I am included in. Visit Dyan's Multiply account for the complete set of pictures. Haha.

Barkadahan

I really love going out with my college friends (UP Circuit Barkadahan) even though all we did earlier was to eat (a lot) and drink (coffee and frap). By the way, that "earlier" event was organized by our official "organizer" and birthday girl (HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY) - Liz. The following peeps were present in Kamayan Glorietta and some in Starbucks Greenbelt: Arpee, Bevan, Carlo and Kyle, Danes, Dyan, Elma, Fil, Ige, Ivan, Jeff, Jim, Liz, Norman, Ron and Kelly, Teejay, Tin and of course, me. Haha.

When the time comes that we are all part of the work force, may our strong bond remain intact. "Barkadahan trumps officemates." Haha.

P.S. Congratulations to my dear friend Fil for passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). You made us proud. You are now a certified "guro". Haha.

P.P.S. Wait for the photo uploads of Dyan and Elma. They were the ones who brought camera phones earlier. Haha.

P.P.P.S. We surprised Liz with something for her birthday. We bought her a "not-so-big-and-something-no-one-should-boast-about" cake (with no candle, haha) and sang a happy birthday song for her at exactly 12 midnight. I hope you loved Danes's idea. Yes, it was his idea. Haha.

P.P.P.P.S. And that reminds me of the fact that I missed Ghe, Marien, May and Glenn; and by the way, I still am missing them. Haha.

Tagged

by Ivy.

Once tagged by this entry, write a blog entry of some kind with six random facts about yourself. In the end of it, pick six of your friends and tag them! (No tag backs). This explanation must be included, of course.

So here it goes:

1. At any circumstance, I can manage to sleep or take a short nap (even when riding a jeepney, when bombarded by loud noise, when the lights are ON, under extreme heat or during a "standing-room-only" scenario inside the MRT). I am the kind of person described by the phrase "masandal tulog".

2. Ironically, I can stay awake for around 48 hours straight.

3. I am an E-AJI addict.

4. I have recently doubled my appetite as compared to what I had a couple of years ago. I currently weigh 145 lbs (...and counting).

5. I love taking a bath.

6. I sing whenever I am in the bathroom (except in EEE).

(To know me more, read: Ten Things You Didn't Know About Niño)

Now I'm tagging Dyan, Elma, Fil, May, Danep and Winston. Keep it going!

No Way!!!

You Should Weigh 185

If you weigh less than this, you either have a fast metabolism or are about to gain weight.
If you weigh more than this, you may be losing a few pounds soon!

----

I currently weigh 145 lbs. With a height of 5'7", I do not know if I should really be tipping the scales at 185. Tsk tsk... ECE 198 project indeed added an enormous bulge into my body. Thank God, it's finally over!
